NARSissist maybe?

I've only gotten my makeup professionally done less than a handful of times. Almost every time, I ended up hating it. It sucks when you pay a boatload for something and then your disappointed in the results. Usually I give into these things for special occasions, but this time around I decided to give it another try. I booked an appointment with Nars Cosmetics.
Make up is still very new to me... I used to be very minimal and now it seems my skincare and make up routine has been quite extended. I'm quickly learning new techniques and styles. This appointment also served as great learning experience. Although there was no special occasion in mind, I asked the makeup artist for a dramatic evening look. I was planning on going into work later that evening so I thought it smart. She did an amazing job at providing my dramatic look. I loved the eye make up especially. In the end, I bought mostly everything she used to achieve the dramatic eye. I wasn't too impressed with the face products. They left my face too oily and porous. Overall, I had a good experience until the next day, my eyes became rather puffy. I think I had a reaction to the makeup brushes or sample products used.
Here is a pic of my make up... what do you guys think? XO

(I received an awesome gift with purchase as well)

(What I bought: Kaliste and Mambo eyepencils, Thunderbolt eyeshadow, Cacao concealer for contouring, and eyebrow pencil)

It's tiring trying to figure out what you want to do in life. Those who have figured out their passions and pursued them as careers are truly blessed. Finding your direction is no joke. Almost nothing excites me as much a great blog post or a trip to the mall. Although I realize that the fashion/blogging industry is an extremely difficult field to excel in, I'm just gonna do me and hope that it inspires someone. Happiness is the ultimate goal! XO (emoji with a wink face)

P.S my boyfriend ordered Pharell's special edition La Duree macarons for Colette. Strait from Paris, these bad boys got delivered to our front door yesterday. Needless to say this small box of 6 was devoured. The special flavors were interesting; Coca cola was definitely a surprise! The peanut butter one was classic American. Even though I prefer the classic french flavors, it was still a treat. The packaging reminded me of Space, the phases of the moon or something of that nature. It was most surely a representation of Pharell and we loved it.

I might of mentioned before in previous posts, that I moved. I absolutely love my new apartment! It's such a beautiful building with great amenities! The best part about moving to a new place is decorating! My boyfriend and I have been having some fun trying to decorate our new home. I can't wait to show you how it turns out. I've scoped the Pinterest and done oodles of online shopping. It's almost as fun as shopping for clothes. I've been so caught up in interior decorating, I've neglected the fashion (emoji with it's mouth open.) Since California weather still makes for sunny days in Fall, this look has a little bit of summertime influences. It's all about this hat though hahaha XO
